Marine Group Boat Works Expands Its Dealer Portfolio to Include Seakeeper and Zodiac

West Coast Boatyard Builds Expertise for Innovative Boat Stabilizer, Leading Manufacture of Inflatable Boats

(Chula Vista, Calif., November 12, 2009): Marine Group Boat Works, a boat and superyacht repair facility located along the San Diego Bay, has achieved dealership rights to service, repair and sell parts for Seakeeper, creator and manufacturer of the innovative gyro stabilizer technology for the leisure yacht and commercial marine industry; and Zodiac, leading manufacturer of inflatable boats as used by the military, U.S. Coast Guard and other government organizations. This partnership with such reputable companies continues to show how Marine Group can excel at servicing the different sectors of the marine industry, superyacht market, commercial market and government market.

“When we became North American dealers for these reputable companies, it told us that the quality of work we’re doing and the service we’re providing meets their high standards,” said Todd Roberts, vice president of Marine Group Boat Works. “It’s good validation for us and for the consumers that use those products.”

The partnership with Seakeeper began when Marine Group Boat Works was awarded a contract earlier this year to build three Range Training Support Crafts (RTSC) for the U.S. Navy. Each RTSC is designed to be outfitted with Seakeeper’s gyro stabilization system that allows the vessel to maintain excellent stability even in the roughest weather conditions or at zero speed. After extensive training on proper installation, operation and troubleshooting of the advanced stabilization system, Marine Group Boat Works was more than qualified to become a certified dealer. Its facility capabilities, equipment capacity and on-site workshops only helped seal the deal.

As for its partnership with Zodiac, the boatyard has worked on numerous inflatable boats for the U.S. Navy, U.S. Coast Guard and other government agencies in addition to superyachts who used the boats as tenders. After a reputable three-year track record, it naturally led to creating a partnership with the global leader for military and professional rigid inflatable boats, Zodiac.
