Dawn Stofberg Voted USSA’s Southwest Regional Chair

Dawn brings over 15 years of yachting experience to the role as well as a high level of knowledge, class and the ability to naturally cultivate relationships. She is presently dockmaster at Fifth Avenue Landing marina as well as the head of the Good Stew program, a robust customs and concierge service for yachts and crew in the Pacific.

“While I was on maternity leave (twice!), she handled many of my duties, including being my proxy at USSA Board meetings and did a stellar job at it,” said former Southwest Chair Leah Yam. “As a former yachtie herself, she has built an elaborate network and has a broad understanding for what superyacht owners and crew needs which is valuable to the industry who services those same customers.”

At the USSA Annual Board Meeting held in October every year at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS), Leah will hand the torch over to Dawn who will serve a two-year term as the new Southwest Regional Chair.

Dawn’s duties as Chair will include being the region’s liaison to the board for issues related to the superyacht industry, recruiting new members and coordinating local events and mixers.  The most recent USSA mixer was hosted by Marine Group Boat Works and Safe Harbor at The Presley in San Diego’s Liberty Station and drew an industry crowd of more than 45 yachting professionals.
