MGBW E-News 6.30.25: New Fish in the Sea & the Fourth with Warrior Foundation Freedom Station!

Welcome Aboard, Riley Pasha!

We’re excited to announce a new addition to the accounting team, Staff Accountant Riley Pasha! Riley is making his return to MGBW after interning for the accounting department in the summer of 2020. Since then, he has received his B.S. in Business Administration from Boston University and graduated in the top 100 of his fellow classmates. He’s also embarked on many entrepreneurial journeys and even founded his own company! Riley will be utilizing his expertise in software development and data management to assist the accounting team in financial reporting for MGBW Los Cabos and Global Services.

When Riley’s not crunching numbers, you can find him relaxing at the beach or hitting the pickleball courts with his friends. Riley is an avid runner who completed three half marathons last year and is already planning to run another one soon! A hockey fan at heart, Riley is a big supporter of the New York Islanders. We are excited to have him back on the team, so please introduce yourself when you see him around the office! We’re happy to have you back, Riley!

Celebrating 4th of July with the Warrior Foundation Freedom Station

Each Fourth of July we celebrate our country’s independence, most importantly recognizing the men and women that fight relentlessly each day to maintain this independence. MGBW has had the pleasure of partnering with a local charitable organization that relentlessly supports ill and injured warriors in need of assistance while transitioning back into civilian life. This ongoing relationship with Warrior Foundation Freedom Station (WFFS) has been invaluable to us, opening our eyes to a community of soldiers in need and providing an opportunity to give back to those that have given so much.

Warrior Foundation Freedom Station, founded by veteran Sandy Lehmkuhler and Brian Lehmkuhler, provides unmatched resources to approximately 4600 soldiers a year in need of various transitionary services, not limited to housing, therapy, adaptive equipment, and most importantly: an invested support system. Many of the soldiers that grace the doors of WFFS deal daily with serious injuries and PTSD, requiring both physical and emotional therapy. With three locations in central San Diego, WFFS provides fully furnished cottages, personal/professional development resources, and connections to the healthcare necessary for healing

MGBW has had the pleasure of providing valuable resources to the WFFS warriors, not limited to dishes, air purifiers, TVs, washing machines, microwaves, and even a golf cart used to take wounded members across the hospital campus to their healthcare appointments. President Todd Roberts has been instrumental in ensuring WFFS had many of the supplies they need to ensure members are comfortable during this transitionary period. Brian and Sandy Lehmkuhler were introduced to MGBW while Brian was working as a technical project manager for the Navy on our SWRMC repair contracts and we couldn’t be happier to foster this lifelong relationship. As Sandy Lehmkuhler noted, “Without Todd and Marine Group’s help, many of our guys would not have the quality of life they do now. This is an amazing partnership that we hope can continue for a long time.”

Thank you to all our soldiers, veterans, and to WFFS giving back to our community in the name of our freedom each day. Happy Fourth of July!
