Press Releases UncategorizedMarine Group Boat Works Expands Safety and Support for Boaters with Launch of Vessel Assist Cabo
Cabo, Mexico (December 12, 2025) – Marine Group Boat Works (MGBW), a premier shipyard and maritime services provider headquartered in San Diego, CA, is expanding its presence in Baja California Sur with the launch of Vessel Assist Cabo. The new service provides 24/7 on-water assistance to recreational boaters experiencing unexpected mechanical issues or breakdowns on the water. Operating from Marina Puerto Los Cabos, in San Jose del Cabo, Vessel Assist Cabo responds to boaters up to a 20-mile radius from Marina Puerto Los Cabos, offering towing, battery jumps and fuel delivery to assist boaters.
“With so many of our customers cruising to Cabo for fishing and leisure, it was important to ensure they have reliable support on the water—not just in the boatyard,” said Todd Roberts, CEO of Marine Group Boat Works. “Vessel Assist Cabo reflects our commitment to improving the safety, experience, and peace of mind for the boating community in one of the world’s most iconic marine destinations.”
Marine Group Boat Works has long supported vessels traveling between Southern California and Mexico through its full-service shipyards in San Diego and Los Cabos. Vessel Assist Cabo expands Marine Group’s boater support with a team of highly trained local captains and dedicated response vessels designed for rapid deployment.
“We’re proud to offer boaters dependable assistance when they need it most,” said Peter Horner, VP of Latin American Operations. “Whether it’s a quick jump-start or a critical tow, we operate 24/7 so boaters can explore Baja’s waters with confidence.”
